This largest flower garden in Dubai always maintains the number of blooming flowers at 50 million. However, this does not mean that there are only 50 million flowers blooming in this garden, this number is only the minimum, because the actual number of blooming flowers can be more than 150 million. There are around 70 species of flowers and more than 150 subspecies of flowers in Dubai Miracle Garden, most of which are dominated by petunia species. About 90% of the blooming flowers come from petunia and sunflower species, while the rest are marigolds, geraniums, coleus, violas, jasmine, asters, snapdragons, roses, and others.

Dubai Miracle Garden's Unique Design
The various types of flowers in Dubai Miracle Garden are arranged in certain patterns, making them look so beautiful. The flower arrangements are designed to form various types of large animals, houses, fairy tale castles, cars, planes, tunnels, human statues, and various comic characters. Each creation is carefully crafted using thousands of real flowers. There are around 1,000 flower themes in this natural flower garden, nicknamed "a little piece of Eden," some of which are mega structures. These flower themes constantly change over time to keep visitors from getting bored.

One of the flower themes, shaped like an Emirates Airbus A380, was recorded as the world's largest flower arrangement on December 2, 2016. This floral theme was created to scale and involved over 500,000 fresh flowers. Another floral structure or theme is an 18.06-meter-tall Mickey Mouse statue, which was recorded as the world's tallest topiary structure on February 25, 2018. This statue, weighing nearly 35 tons, was formed from around 100,000 plants and flowers. Dubai Miracle Garden has obtained a license from The Walt Disney Company to create flower structures in the shape of Walt Disney characters, such as Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, Goofy, Pluto, and others.
History and Development of Dubai Miracle Garden
This tourist park, managed by Cityland Real Estate Development, opened on February 14, 2013, right on Valentine's Day. Because its anniversary coincides with Valentine's Day, Dubai Miracle Garden is known as the most romantic flower garden in the world. This man-made natural tourist destination is a collaborative project between Dubailand and Dubai Properties Group with Akar Landscaping and Agriculture Company, a landscaping and agriculture company led by Jordanian entrepreneur Abdel Nasser Rahhal.

This US$ 11 million mega project was built in several stages, with the first phase of construction of the 2,000 m² outdoor facilities of the Dubai Miracle Garden completed in February 2013. The construction of the outdoor facilities took two months and involved around 400 workers, covering the horizontal and vertical landscapes of the most famous thematic garden in the Middle East.
Dubai Miracle Garden has two types of landscapes: horizontal landscapes consisting of flowers planted to form flower beds on the ground, and vertical landscapes consisting of flowers arranged in specific patterns. These vertical landscapes can take the form of flower sculptures, flower gates, and various replicas, such as Mickey Mouse sculptures, Airbus A380 replicas, car replicas, palace replicas, and others. The expansion of the second phase of the Dubai Miracle Garden complex began in mid-June 2013 and was completed in October 2013, bringing the total area of this world-famous tourist park to 190,000 m², including the Dubai Butterfly Garden, flower clock, mosque, shops, and multi-level parking.

The total area of the Dubai Miracle Garden complex is 190,000 m², including 72,000 m² of vertical and horizontal flower gardens, 6,673 m² of the Dubai Butterfly Garden, 79,000 m² of free and VIP (paid) parking, a mosque, retail stores, and a flower clock. This thematic park is also home to a variety of charming cafes where visitors can relax and unwind. Here, visitors can pamper themselves with refreshing drinks or enjoy delicious dishes surrounded by beautiful flowers that soothe the eyes.
Flower Care at Dubai Miracle Garden
To care for the flowers and various plants at Dubai Miracle Garden, approximately 200,000 gallons of water per day, or the equivalent of 757,082 liters, are needed. The water is obtained from wastewater, which is then reprocessed to become clean water that can be used for garden maintenance. The plants in this botanical garden are watered at night after closing time. At this time, gardeners also carry out maintenance, such as pruning plants and planting, and ensuring that every empty space is filled with flowers or other plants.
When to Visit Dubai Miracle Garden
A flower garden in the desert is truly a contrasting sight. However, this is the magic of Dubai; nothing is impossible for this country in the middle of the desert. This includes transforming the dry and hot desert into a beautiful and stunning garden. Dubai Miracle Garden is open from October to May, when the temperature is not too high and it is the perfect time to witness the beauty of the flowers. The flower garden closes from the end of May to the end of September due to the extremely high temperatures, which can reach up to 40°C. Dubai Miracle Garden is open daily from Monday to Friday between 09:00-21.00 local time. On weekends, Saturday and Sunday, Dubai Miracle Garden is open from 09:00-23.00 local time.
