This natural wonder was created by the combination of natural forces and human activity due to the railway being built among dense trees and bushes. Trains carrying wood to the factory in Orzhiv Village, moving through trees and bushes, have caused tree branches and bushes to be cut to form a tunnel. Over time, when the bushes and trees grew thicker, the top and both sides of the tunnel also became more beautiful, as it is today.

Tunnel of Love was originally part of a railway line built during the Cold War era. At that time, this railway line was used for military purposes, but later the railway line was used for industry, especially to transport wood to factories in the region. This railway line is about 3 - 4.9 km long, due to differences in measurement results made by various parties.
